If you are a business owner more than likely you are often thinking about how to get more clients. I’ve noticed for years that solo professionals who are very skilled at what they do often have almost no tools in their skill set to use in marketing their services. Often these same business owners have a deep desire to help more people with their skills, but they get stuck when it comes to how to get more clients.
My newest book, How To Get More Clients & Help More People, is all about this topic. Since I notice this problem most with business owners who offer transformational skills (energy workers, massage therapists, life coaches and others) I subtitled the book “A Guide for Energy Workers and Other Transformational Business Owners.” It’s my theory (born out by years of experience) that many transformational workers themselves have what I fondly call “Bright Shiny Energy Syndrome.” This is not the same as “bright shiny energy” that folks with short attention spans have. Bright Shiny Energy Syndrome is a way of being that attracts people to you who want to ride off your energy but probably don’t want to actually spend money with you.
How to Get More Clients and Help More People helps transformational business owners in these ways:
- Explains and gives the reader a way to find out if she has Bright Shiny Energy Syndrome (there are 7 traits)
- Why people are drawn to your bright shiny energy
- What happens to you when prospects don’t convert into clients
- 5 solid ways to expand or build your business
- 5 tips for working with your clients
I’m thrilled to share the news that How To Get More Clients went #1 best seller in its category on Amazon a few days after it launched. If you’ve bought the book I’d love your comments below. And if would share the news about this book with those it might help I’d appreciate it, too.
The key thing for me is that you CAN build a business based on “soft” or transformational skills. I so hate seeing small business owners get discouraged and close up shop when the world needs what they offer. I’d like to take the information about how to get more clients on the road and speak to groups who can use this information. If you know of a group who can benefit, let me know!
