These 3 Ways to Market Your Business Definitely Help You Stand Out
Almost every day I get asked about how you can market your business without spending a fortune – you know, things that actually work. I’m a believer in being a blue ocean business, standing out from all the others who do essentially the same thing you do.
In this brief video I share 3 strategies that recently worked on me – I spent money directly due to these outreach efforts that most business owners will not do.
Honestly, to stick out from all other businesses is not that hard, because most business owners do what every other business owner around them is doing.
- Reaching out with snail mail to prospects in the same geographical area in which you’ve got existing customers.
- Keeping old contacts informed of your new offers with a call, e-mail, or snail mail piece.
- Practicing super-friendly phone skills, and setting purchases out for pickup so that a transaction is fast and you give the message “we’ve been looking for you.”
- Reassuring cold prospects about your business with social proof.
Hear more about how these strategies worked in real life in this video. Want help with marketing strategies that can work but don’t cost a fortune? Reach out to me and we’ll talk.

You gave us 3 ways to stand out from our competition and they surprised me. We hear all the hype about doing everything online and this seems much more personal. I am going to send a letter to each new buisness that joins the chamber of commerce in my city, introducing my business. It is important for businesses to clear their physical spaces to release the energies of previous occupants in the space. A company that went out of buisness in that space leaves behind financial struggles.
Thank you for the great ideas Sue.
I love that idea, Nancy – and drop by to see them, sometime, too! Maybe in your e-mail you can offer 3 quick tips for their new space, which will pique their interest in meeting you.
