The truck driver should have been told it was too late and to come back tomorrow during normal business hours when people are awake. That’s the best solution for everyone. The new neighbors were struggling with moving stuff in the dark of the night and the neighbors were being bothered by the noise. The truck driver needed to be more mindful and so did the new neighbors to ask him to come back tomorrow.
Compassion is KEY. Sue, this is beautiful and we must show up as we want to be shown. 😉
Write on!~

Thanks, Lisa. Yes, we do have to show up as we want to be shown. It’s a good practice.

My day begins every day with the thought,
“How may I add value to others today?”
“Who will they be and how will we meet?”
“Not for me to worry if in their office or in the street.”
I thought you were going to write that all the neighbors came out and helped with the move… I guess I watched too much “Leave it to Beaver.” I would say the good old days are gone, but I won’t. With blog posts like this one, it’s obvious that people like you, Sue, still care. Compassion can be re-taught in both business and life! Thanks for shining a light on it!
