Great tips! I like the new title and love the ideas for being provocative and providing something that can be quoted out. Now I just need this as a checklist I can keep and use.

I’ll be sharing this one with my “Write Your Book Grow Your Biz” peeps and will be using these tips myself – thanks!

Such great tips to remember. With so much information out there on blogs, being provocative with a strong opinion goes a long way in generating shares and discussion.

I would agree with Paul’s words of wisdom – provokative and the use of the word “obsessive” is spot on!

I need to use some of these tips. When I first started my 50 First Dates Girl blog it was being shared and with my Romantic Comedy Girl blog my “big shared entry” was titled: Is anyone having sex anymore? So I’d be curious what you think of thee tips would be most applicable to getting my blog posts shared? Titling them a little more racy? Or getting more racy with the content? I will definitely add tweetables.. in fact I’m going to go do that now on my latest. THANKS SUE!

      Jessica,
Compelling titles – controversial or racy for your topic – for sure!

Great tips for increasing blog post shares, Sue! I particularly agree with being entertaining and provocative. I love blog posts that are interesting and really get me thinking. Having a strong point of view or opinion in your posts goes a long way in boosting conversation and it also makes it easirer to come up with “quotables.”
