7 Questions That Help You Get Clarity in Your Business

January 3, 2017 by Sue Painter Leave a Comment

You may think you’ve nailed it, but I’m betting that you could use help to get clarity in your business. Why? Because you gain clarity in your businesschange, the environment you operate in changes, your customer base changes. You get clarity but over time you need to refocus and get it again. That’s just the nature of business.

My 7 questions that nail things down for you

Here’s 7 questions that will help you get clarity in your business. I use these when my clients consult with me. And I’ll let you in on a little secret – Bill and I use them all the time to constantly refocus and create the life and businesses we most want.

Ask yourself these questions often. Be relentless in boiling your answers down to simple, clear sentences.

  • What do you want in your business right now?
  • What do you want to be different?
  • How can you go about getting that?
  • What do you need support with?
  • What will make you happy?
  • What can you do this year to scare yourself and grow?
  • How can you simplify your systems and time to gain more freedom?
And here’s a bonus question for you. Take it seriously.
Are you willing to sign on for another year in your business? Do you feel a high commitment?

Clarity is the granite foundation for you and your business. It provides the rock on which you can lead a team, talk to clients and customers about what you do, answer questions in interviews, create your marketing plan, and introduce yourself. Clarity shines though. When we aren’t clear about what we do it shows like chocolate stains on a white shirt. When you leave doubt in someone’s mind about exactly what you do and who you are they will not engage, nor will they keep you top of mind.

Try these 7 questions for your work, with your kids, with friends, and to yourself. Ask them of your partner. You’ll be surprised what comes up and moves forward. Clarity in your business affects everything.
