One solid way to add subscribers to your list is to teach people what you know well. The online training and education industry is huge – multiple billions of dollars a year. And if you teach others using online technology you can market internationally.
Three keys to successful list building by teaching online courses
- Establish yourself as an authority on your topic. Be sure to include your background or experience so that potential students will believe you can teach them what they need to know.
- Remember to state the benefits of your online course to prospects. “After this course you will be able to dry your expensive sweaters without stretching them out of shape.”
- Do some front end research and make sure that people are actually looking for help on the topic(s) you want to teach.
There’s more to developing successful online courses than that, of course. Part of list building with online courses is planning out ahead of time how you will market your course, to whom you will market your course, and what your follow on offers will be.
