Marketing Mistakes: Avoid These Outdated Marketing Strategies

August 30, 2016 by Sue Painter Leave a Comment

avoiding outdated marketing strategiesOnline marketing strategies can become outdated quickly. Think about Blab – it was here today, gone tomorrow. An established business might make the mistake of setting up their graphics, advertising, and other marketing materials but then never circle back to reviewing what's on hand. Without even being aware of it, their marketing becomes outdated and doesn't get them the most bang for their buck.

In this 5 minute video I talk about a major travel company who is using outdated publicity for their certified travel agents, and basic web marketing mistakes by local barbers in a North Carolina town. My recommendation is to review your marketing assets at least yearly to avoid outdated marketing strategies that make your business seem like it's in the Dark Ages.

If you market mostly online, challenge yourself to update your materials twice a year at the least. If you market offline make sure that your print materials are updated to reflect your new services, address, and contact information. If you aren't sure what marketing strategies to use for your business I'm here to help. You can set up an hour long consultation by clicking here, and we'll make sure that what you are doing makes sense for your business and isn't outdated.
