Three Ways To Squeeze Income Out Of Your Extra Hour

November 6, 2010 by Sue Painter 10 Comments

It’s not very often that we get an extra hour, but this weekend, most of the U.S. does as we “fall back” into Standard Time and off of Daylight Savings Time.  I asked on Facebook what people would do with their extra hour and mostly the reply was “sleep.”  That’s cool, but first do these three things.  You might just create a little income as you snooze!

  1. Pick a product or service from your website that you’ve not paid much attention to lately.  Update it to offer an “Extra Hour” add-on or discount.  Your discount, depending on the usual sale price, could be 60 cents off or $60 dollars off.  An add-on could be a related small product or other freebie that provides something useful for your clients.  After you’ve updated your web page, send out an e-mail broadcast letting your client list know about the special.
  2. Brainstorm what you could offer in an hour to your clients, or to people you’ve not served yet.  You might offer a free call, a downloadable template or worksheet, a podcast, or a webinar.  Brush off content you’ve got in hand that is what people need right now.  Schedule it sometime in the next month, send out your first broadcast to promote it, and go take your hour-long nap.
  3. Go find a teleclass you recorded but never listened to, sometime you know you need to know more about.  Start listening to it when you settle in for your nap, and finish it up when you wake up.  Take notes, and resolve to implement just one new idea that will help build your business.

My brand-new e-workbook Create Your Own Income – A Simple Process For Finding The Wisdom and Expertise That Will Make You Money is now available, by the way, under “Browse Products.”  Working through the exercises will help you sharpen your sense of what you can do to create income, change jobs, or create a business for yourself.  It might be a great way to use that extra hour!  Here’s the link:  https://confidentmarketer.com/site/browse-products/create-your-own-income-2/ .  Have fun!

I was just thinking about the “time” thing just this week and the view that we think we have too much or mostly too little. Love your take on it and am going to do some “shifting”.

    Thanks Sue !
